The first few weeks of your baby arriving are filled with so many new and precious moments. As a proud mother and newborn photographer, I know these are the moments that you will want to savour and document before they grow!
A mother’s love and the bond with their new baby, a father’s admiration and pride for his growing family, a sibling’s excitement for their new best friend. Capturing this love, the tiny details and the connections for you and your family is what drives my photographic passion.
My newborn photoshoots are relaxed and authentic, using the comfort and familiarity of your own home makes the whole experience enjoyable for you and your baby. Including small details of your home within the photos makes them truly personal to your family’s story.
I will guide you through the whole experience including the use of any prompts, props or posing techniques. Lovely, natural, candid moments tend to unfold organically and we will always pause for any feeding or nappy changes as needed.
Each family has their own unique story to tell and it would be an honour to capture these timeless moments of your family’s journey. The first chapter of your baby’s life truly is a special one to document.

I advise booking your newborn photoshoot several months before your baby’s due date, because I can get fully booked. Because, I wouldn’t wish for anyone to miss photographing this important and beautiful part of their baby’s life. Finally, once an initial date has been penciled in and your deposit received, I allow for some flexibility with the date. Moving your session around, whether your baby arrives earlier, or later than predicted.
Newborn photoshoots should take place within the first 12 weeks of birth, as later ages capture different features. When they are first born they sleep for longer, curling up as if they are still snuggled in the womb. Whereas a slightly older baby might have started smiling and laughing.
It is my artistic preference for newborn photoshoots to take place in the comfort and safety of their own home, naturally styled, using only natural light. All I typically require is a room (or two) and a window providing the natural daylight. If it’s a nice warm day and you wish to incorporate your garden into your gallery, this can be arranged. Full studio sessions are also possible, subject to availability.
When booking, it’s good to let me know what you would like from your newborn session. For example, whether you would primarily like to focus on your new little one, or perhaps incorporate more “family together” shots. I can then plan and tailor your gallery to your personal choices.
All newborn sessions include the photoshoot, the post-production work and the supply of digital images in both high-resolution and web-ready formats. These are typically supplied to you within 2-3 weeks from the shoot. Terms and conditions apply.

All my completed photoshoots include a downloadable set of high-resolution digital images for you to keep forever and print them as often and as large as you wish. For those that are on a budget, my online gallery system provides you with various easy DIY options for you to create your own framed pictures, albums and canvas prints.
We’re all busy people, let's face it - it might be months, even years, before you get around to printing your images. I also offer "hassle-free" and premium print production services for those looking for high-end gallery and exhibition level prints, canvases and albums. I handle all design and production on your behalf.
