As a professional family photographer, I believe family portraits should be all about freezing precious moments in time, rather than displaying beautiful images just to compliment your home’s decor. Family life is chaotic, but you’ll soon be longing to remember these fleeting times.
This is why I am here, to capture the “here and now” of your family’s on-going journey. To ensure you have the most beautiful, natural and timeless images to hold on to forever. Images that will become even more treasured as time passes.
I’m a local family photographer in Hampshire and I primarily cover the South of England, including Surrey, Berkshire and Dorset. However, I do enjoy travelling and I am willing to go further afield when required.
I always strive for my family photoshoots to be a blend of photojournalism and art, but above all, natural. I love capturing children having fun, playing and interacting. While at the same time catching your own reactions to them and the whole family enjoying themselves.
During every family photoshoot I always search for the best natural light, most suitable backdrops and those truly ‘once in a lifetime’ magical moments. I will endeavour to make the whole experience as relaxed and enjoyable as I can for you and your family.

My artistic preference for family photoshoots is for them to take place at a suitable, scenic outdoor setting. I have a number of wonderful local locations I like to use, or I can incorporate a location that is particularly special to you and your family. Indoor home shoots and full studio sessions are also possible.
When shooting outdoors, I will aim for our session to take place during (or as close as possible to) the “golden hour”, which is a photographer’s term for when the natural light is at it’s best – shortly after sunrise or before sunset. This does vary throughout the seasons, although the only time to really avoid is noon, unless it’s overcast. I am happy to work alongside your schedule and we can usually arrange a few options.
I feel that it’s always important for me to get to know a family a little prior to the shoot and discuss any individuals that may need some help to feel comfortable in front of the camera. Advanced planning of what you are going to wear is optimal and I am happy to advise if needed.
Family sessions last between 1-3 hours depending on your package and location. A small deposit is required to hold your booking, which once received, will be confirmed via email.
All family portrait sessions include the photoshoot, the post-production work and the supply of digital images in both high-resolution and web-ready formats. These are typically supplied to you within 2-3 weeks from the shoot. Terms and conditions apply.

All my completed photoshoots include a downloadable set of high-resolution digital images for you to keep forever and print them as often and as large as you wish. For those that are on a budget, my online gallery system provides you with various easy DIY options for you to create your own framed pictures, albums and canvas prints.
We’re all busy people, let's face it - it might be months, even years, before you get around to printing your images. I also offer "hassle-free" and premium print production services for those looking for high-end gallery and exhibition level prints, canvases and albums. I handle all design and production on your behalf.
